There was an issue with clearance of handlebar cables with this brace. Unlike the 1250 brace the fixings are top and bottom. The cables on left handlebar are left long, and fixed lower down, by BMW to allow for bar risers. These cables, on my machine anyway, were rubbing against the lower mount of the brace and were actually in danger of catching on the left side of the fixing. It’s a shame, as this is a well made, sturdy brace, and I am disappointed that I had to return it.
