Good enough kit, although the original mudguard isn't really designed to take this length of extender, so it's not very rigid at the bottom. Does a good job of stopping the cow-crap-smoulder-bonfire on the exhausts. I used 7 flat-head bolts (m4) not the 5 self-tappers provided. Hopefully this should make it last better - we'll see.

Usual efficiency. Delivery prompt. Fitting was simple - took 10 minutes. Looks good,, but not used in rain yet, so no comment on effectiveness.
Nippy Normans' service is excellent and deserves 5 stars.

Why manufacturers give us short tailed mudguards is infuriating and stupid!
This accessory is well made and has the length required on a touring bike.
I substituted the tapping screws with small plastic push rivets. I also made holes in the extender tongue so that a generous amount of rtv silicone would escape and increase the bond.
Unfortunately the rear of the mudguard is a bit floppy from manufacturer before you add anything to it so taking care when washing will be necessary.

The product works well but this is the second one to be fitted to my bike. The first one lasted less than 8000 miles before shearing off along the line of the joint with the mudguard, possibly due to vibration stress in the plastic. I guess replacing every 2-3 years on a low mileage bike is ok but for those who do high mileage, it might get frustrating and expensive to have to keep replacing it.
Fitting was easy second time round as the holes were already drilled in the front fender. As others have suggested, remove the fender before fitting.
Nippy Norman's service was excellent as always.

I always fit these types of items to all my bikes.
In this case both fitted easily - I removed the front mudguard as it made fitting the fender extender much easier. Don't forget to add a drop of thread lock to the side stand enlarger screws. Both items perform as intended.

Good product, but a tad expensive. Gone from a lot of crap up the engine & exhaust to minimal crap. An essential bit of kit really. Would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t expensive for what it is, but that’s not NN’s fault, they were quality as always! All said, product is recommended.

Very easy to fit. An expensive piece of plastic but very necessary to protect lower part of engine which it does. Just a pity that bike manufacturers think we don't need mudguards anymore. It's the longest one on the market and I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

A simple extension that helps stop the radiator getting bombed with road crud. Easy to fit and looks good on the bike but it is eye-wateringly expensive for what it is so feel a captive audience is being taken advantage of!

Fits well, I used M4 stainless steel screws and locknuts rather than the self tappers supplied.
A ride in the rain today shows that it prevents most of the filth from the front wheel covering the engine and exhaust pipes

I have used the fender extender on two previous F880 ST's and an F800 GT and can confirm that the product certainly helps to keep a lot of muck off the lower part of the engine. I would certainly recommend fitting one but from past experience they will crack across the shoulder where it meets the mudguard as a result of vibration. This usually happens over a period of about two to two and a half years.

The fenda extenda does the job and fits my 2017 BMW F800GT. I have used the screws supplied to secure it in addition to the adhesive pads and once fitted you don't notice them.

Looks original and adds quite a bit of length but I would have prefered it to be the same width as the existing guard which is wider.
Remove the mudguard first (4 screws) before drilling the fixing holes.

Easy to fit, but suggest remove mudguard from bike first. Also very easy (4 screws only). Take care with fitting, those sticky tapes hold fast so get the position right first time, and file down the excess screws. I used an angle grinder to make flush. Yes, recommend this product. Looks OK on the bike.

I got sick and tired of the crud being thrown up off the road onto the bottom front of the engine. I bit the bullet, as the price was more than I would have wanted to pay for a bit of plastic (Dropped a star there). However it's sorted the problem, it works a treat. Easy to fit, looks good and delivered really quickly. All I could have asked for really.

Expensive for a bit of ABS (even if it does come in a nice box), but matches original plastics well, looking like it was fitted by BMW.
A breeze to fit - I recommend you paint the screws after grinding the points off (Hammerite applied with a cotton bud works well, and saves brush cleaning).
Hopefully it will help protect the downpipes from salt, muck etc.)

Very easy to fit, just take the mudgaurd off first. Secures using sticky pad and 4 small grub screws. Extends mudgaurd well below engine cowl and stops most of the spray from the front wheel hitting the engine. A bit pricey, but looks like it will last, hence 4 stars

The original fender is too short , spraying muck all over the engine. This extender helps, I added a larger piece to it so it extends down where fenders used to in the 1960s.

Seems better but not brilliant. It's best to remove the mudguard to fit the extender. It is really essential to remove the ends of the fixing screws. You might think there is enough clearance not to bother but the flexibility of the guard allows contact between the screw points and tyre.
