Well, I was astounded! I advised a client to protect his new R1250RT’s TFT screen by securing it with a security clamp from Nippy Norman’s only to find when I turned up at the NCP car park where it was always parked up that not just the TFT screen but the whole bleedin bike had been stolen! Four hooded robbers had walked into the NCP car park, ground the locks and chains off the bike and simply pushed it out of the car park into the night! Despite the car park attendant watching the whole thing on CCTV, the Police were not called! The owner was not informed, despite being on first name terms with the St Pancras railway station staff - he works for the railway for chrissakes! I was impressed by the quality of the bracket itself, but was cheated out of the opportunity to fit it to the bike! 🙁 What’s the point in having secure parking if it’s not secure? NCP - poor show!

It fits well and should act as a deterrent. It is also unobtrusive and probably adds protection to screen edges too

This is a must have if you have the large TFT SCREEN however I did buy 6 security bolts tamper proof from another company as cmyrac could not supply

Relatively easy to fit once worked out which is left and right legs. BEFORE final fit using the sticky pad or drilling I suggest fitting all the screws and put it in place as if its a finished task, the bend in the legs meant that the frame did not sit flat on the TFT screen, give opportunity to make minor adjustments which you cant do once glued or screwed down.

A good bit of kit that is easy to install due to clear instructions and YouTube video. Expensive for what it is though. However, buyers should be aware that if you try to fit a Wunderlich sunshade (as I did) - which has to be clipped on after the brace has been fitted - then the sunshade is not the neatest / perfect fit as it really isn't designed to fit over the brace. They are two different / separate systems.

Easy fit, but needs 2" more neoprene tape. Would like to see tx security screws rather than hex, I changed these on mine. Looks good and feels secure

Honestly, for what it is, the brace is rather expensive.
However, if it stops some mindless idiot trying to liberate the screen then it will be money well spent. That said, as the brace is not supplied with safety screws, someone with tools could remove it.
It takes just a few minutes to fit, although getting it aligned correctly can be fiddly.
One suggestion would be to have an option without fitting holes in the top of the brace, as I’m sure like me, not many people are going to drill into their bike!
And be careful when tightening the securing screws, as the paint finish can peel off - but Hammerite Matt and a small paintbrush will fix that.
I am aware this review seems quite negative, but for the price and something that is being sold as a security device, it is lacking.
But if you’re looking for peace of mind, then like me you’ll get one.

Bought to protect TFT screen on the advice of hearsay on social media etc. Nice and tidy and unobtrusive but rather expensive for strips of metal however I knew the price of course before buying. Hopefully will never need it so to speak.
