Not the most exciting purchase I've ever made.
But after watching several YouTube how to videos I thought I would have a go at doing the valve clearance on my hex head. And I purchased 2 of each size. The take home message is. Perfect. Having just the size you need minimises (doesn't remove) the chance of a mistake. Ummm not sure what else to say. Use sunscreen?

All good not branded wunderlich as expected but does not really matter.

I knew I was paying well over the odds for these but thought it would be nice to have a matching set of feeler gauges and that Wunderlich usually make very good products.
However what I received was two white feeler gauges which are branded Wurth and then two completely odd random gauges. One of them is yellow, half an inch shorter than the white ones and unbranded. It also has three holes in the handle so it looks entirely different. The other one is red, a quarter of an inch shorter than the yellow one and also has no branding or holes in the handle. But worse, it looks like the handle has been made out of Sugru mouldable rubber. All of them are un-oiled and have started to lightly pitt with rust.
The only thing that is correct is their sizing (Thickness) so for that reason alone I will keep them because I can't be bothered to waste more money and time sending them back.
I honestly don't believe Wunderlich would put their name to this and also disappointed that N.N. sent them out.

Happy to take these back fro a refund and pay the return postage.

Not sure these are essential for the 9T but I've other Beemers in my sights so will definitely use them.
Much cheaper to buy online than from local Isle of Man stores (they charge an incredible premium and often have an 'entitled' way about their customer service).
Happy to keep getting my BMW stuff from Nippy Norman's. Service was great.

Simple but really excellent set of feeler gauges, perfect length for use inside the cylinder head & they're colour coded - you cant go wrong (unless you cant tell yellow & white apart). Essential part of your toolkit really

I do all my own bikes servicing so its nice to have the proper tools to do it. Unfortunately the meagre tool kit that comes with the bike isn't going to be very much help.
So for these extra tools (Which you don't get) were essential.
As usual excellent service, products and delivery by Nippy Norman's thank you.

Makes the job quick and easy - would be a pain with normal feelers - well worth the dosh, and of course will last more or less forever.

Made the job very easy, and nice with Colour coding for easy identification.
You could say that as a price for individual feeler gauges they are a little expensive, but you would need to buy two sets to get the same usability (and no colour coded handles !)
Quick service from Nippys, as has always been my experience from them.
Overall a good product that makes life easier.
If they came attached to each other (colour wise) and with a clip to stop them dropping on the floor they would be 100%, but that's easy enough to do yourself.

Made the job so easy, no shuffling gauges back and forth between valves.
Not as useful on the LC models Stephen Stallebrass on Jun 16, 2016

As great as these undoubtedly are for the older models they're not as useful on the liquid cooled (LC) models as adjustments require a change in shims as opposed to the older models mechanical adjustment with a spanner and a hex (allen) key to get them to the desired tolerance.

Perfect for doing tappets, the plastic ends make them easier to use. As a professional mechanic I have a few sets of feeler blades but these make tapes adjustment much easier

These feeler gauges actually simplify the job, making inlet and exhaust clearances a breeze to set up. For those bikers that actually do the work themselves, highly recommended!
