Reviews of Wunderlich seat and rack Combo R1200GS LC/Adv LC/1250GS/Adventure STANDARD SEAT

Single seat and Rack change from Rally Seat Richard Sherwin on Jun 19, 2024

I changed from the Low Bench Rally style seat to the Standard Winderlich Standard Seat and Rack Combo. I wanted a seat that was a bit taller than the Low Bench seat that the bike came with. I had a 1200GSA that had I had a similar set up of single seat and rack which I fitted a tanklock ring to the rack and I missed this on the new GS1250. The Standard Wunderlich seat is very maybe a tad taller, but it is the width near the tank that splays your legs out a bit more that you can notice. I am just off my heels when trying to flatfoot both feet. Oh I am 5’11+1/2” tall. This is just how I like it, so I’m very happy with the choice. The seat has a nice Goldilocks level of firm but comfortable support. Nicely sculpted, flat and wide with a grippy top cover. Really nicely made seat. The rack is great too, extremely solidly made, with plenty of tie slots. I modified mine with a aluminium plate on top that I fastened a tank lock ring to, now I can click my tank bag on and off.

Comfort Guaranteed? John Ridd on May 26, 2022

I was looking for a more comfortable seat than stock. Decided after looking at others on this one as the add declared "comfort guaranteed". It's largely true the seat certainly clears up the coccyx discomfort. The seat is firmer and it will be interesting to see over a 2500 mile journey if the above claim is correct. The pillion seat rack is great and takes a Kriega 20lt dry be perfectly.
