Reviews of Wunderlich Marathon screen (tint) - R1250RT (2021 on)

Significant Improvement on OEM Stuart Beck on Apr 05, 2022

Rating: 4

Bought to replace the OEM Sports Screen on my 2021 R1250RT, which caused a large amount of buffeting around my shoulders at motorway speeds. Well packaged and easy to fit, the omission of the rubber grommets was frustrating and feels like a corner had been cut unnecessarily. I now have 3000 miles in all weathers from motorways to B-roads with the Wunderlich screen fitted and have been really impressed. At 6ft 2in, I am now completely protected from the weather and in a bubble of calm with the screen raised. The lowest position is roughly equal to the highest setting on the sports screen with plenty of airflow and a clear view over the top of the screen. Plenty of adjustment allows for fine tuning in all conditions. The extra width makes a real difference in the noise and buffeting. The view when looking through the screen appears clear and undistorted. A premium product, only let down by the lack of rubber grommets which must be reused from your stock screen.

This screen came packed very well and it also comes in its own protective bag ( ideal for storing old screen ) Easy to fit , you have to resume the 4 rubber inserts from old screen ( shame it did not include them ) Improved appearance of bike , keeps hands warmer and provides much improved protection and reduced wind buffering. It is quite a bit wider and taller and the outline of a tinted screen takes a little while to get used to as it seems more visible to the rider compared to the clear screen I may use this for the winter months and switch back to original in the summer , but I will try it in the summer first
